Duwamish Revealed brought together over 100 artists together with community partners to create public art, community events, and performance along and about the Duwamish River. We envisioned an authentic, dynamic exhibition that would bring regionwide attention to the river and tell its complex story through the many artists and communities involved.
Duwamish Revealed combines the social and natural sciences with community activism and contemporary art practice. The Seattle area has seen its share of successful temporary, land-based public art events in recent years . . . but none has been so rooted in a history or a sense of place.
