This lovely little set of living chairs was built at the Mini Mart City Park in a public workshop, with willow from the the Beacon Food Forest. I wanted to experiment with mortise and tenon joinery for this project, and also added a curved / sling back seat, a classic feature of bentwood furniture.  Special thanks to the Duwamish Valley Youth Corps, Maria Michurina, Kevin Kissinger, Malka Hoffman, and Emily Eagle who came back day after day to learn, help and follow the project through till the end.
