Christina Sun Catcher was one of the largest of the Water Spirit sculptures. Two thatched arches, constructed of locally-harvested Phragmites reed, created a grand entrance to the waterfront deck and a destination on the boardwalk. The arches highlight a view of the Christina River, creating a frame for the landscape in the path of the sun. The process pics document the progress of our fantastic crew completing the challenging build - and getting alternately scorched and rained on.
